It’s been a few weeks since my last post. The world is still very challenging, with the ever changing restrictions in place, to protect us from the coronavirus. As our country starts to open for business and people flock to beaches and bars; families are still apart and waiting patiently for permission to embrace.
Black Lives Matter protests have taken place all over our country as we stand alongside the US, in outrage and sadness, at the senseless death of a man named George Floyd during his arrest in Minneapolis.
“Be the change that you wish to see in the world”. – Mahatma Gandhi
I am hoping we all learn from these events. Become more aware. Become better. That we see positive change. That we are the positive change. This is a very emotionally charged and serious issue that needs to be addressed.
I did not want to just continue writing about my life without pausing to reflect on the lives of others during this difficult time.
I am not qualified to comment further but as an eternal student, I can promise to learn and be educated.
