About

I have been writing here since 2017.   I’m married and a mother of one.  As I enter my fourth decade, I find sharing my life journey with others quite fun and very cathartic.  I have had a very unusual life and want to be able to provide the words of humour, comfort and experience, that I always needed to hear growing up.

I was born with facial palsy, which automatically put my life, on a very colourful and unique path.  It’s quite interesting, how others treat you, when you look a little bit different.

I have been married before.  I am a very proud step mum to two beautiful grown up daughters.  I have had my heart broken, more than once.  I have known happiness that I can’t even put into words and pain that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

I have several health conditions that cheerfully run alongside my busy life.  I have Ulcerative Colitis, Rosacea, Polycystic Ovaries (according to some experts) and Retinitis Pigmentosa.

I love music and turn to it every day.  You will often see lyrics and songs pop up in my blog.  The soundtrack to my life, has at times, kept me going and lifted me up.  The power of music is an amazing thing.   It helps keep my crazy in check and humour intact.

My blog covers every aspect of my life, including, Health, Motherhood, Relationships, Wellbeing and Music.  Dysfunctional families, friendship dramas, awkward mummy moments and how I navigate through all my delightful medical stuff – you will find it all right here!

I keep moving, keep growing and when everything seems impossible; I just keep on, keeping on!  This isn’t a highlight reel, this is everything.

Welcome to Me, My Life and Eye
